Obama 'Dreams' On Roe's Anniversary

Repulsive.

“As we mark the 39thanniversary of Roe v. Wade, we must remember that this Supreme Court decision not only protects a woman’s health and reproductive freedom, but also affirms a broader principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters,” Obama said.

Well, other than deciding whether and what health insurance to buy. That private family matter, we’ll force at the point of a gun while driving private insurers out of the market. The choice not to join a union? We’ll use the full power of the bureaucracy and the courts to short circuit. The choice to use fossil fuels? We’ll force prices to skyrocket to drive Americans toward our pet green boondoggles.

This president isn’t truly pro-choice. He’s an abortion radical and a statist.

“I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right.

“While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue — no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption,” Obama said.

Obama doesn’t mean a word of this. It’s boilerplate to make him appear reasonable. When he was in the Illinois Senate, he militated against a law to protect infants who survived attempted abortions.

“And as we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.”

And the dreams of the 54 million aborted?
