Obama Votes Present on XL Pipeline Decision

Great debater, mostly fabulous teleprompter reader. Crappiest. President. Evah. Or at least since Carter.

The Obama administration announced Thursday that the State Department is re-evaluating the route of the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, a move that will likely delay a final decision on the project until after the 2012 election.

TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL pipeline would carry oil sands crude from Alberta, Canada, to refineries in Texas. The proposed pipeline has set off a firestorm in Washington, with critics raising environmental concerns and proponents arguing the project will boost the economy.

Obama has faced a dilemma between appeasing the unions, who want the pipeline (and for once, the unions are right) and the greenies who want us all living in grass huts burning cow dung to keep warm at night. I guess that video by Julia Louis-Dreyfus sealed the deal for the Bamster. About 20,000 jobs won’t happen now, while the president subverts the US economy and our energy security to the needs of his re-election.
