The Gingrich Complex = narcissism over policy

That’s my new term for what drives almost all politicians of all stripes. Maybe scratch the “almost.” If you look even for a second at the policies of a politician, you will see the “what’s in it for me” factor writ large and often above everything else. Of course, as in the recent case of Newt Gingrich, even the smartest of them can misperceive this. But that’s the motivation. Gingrich has just exposed it with his confused nonsense about the budget and ObamaCare.

A corollary – the Gingrich Factor. It measures the amount of narcissism in a political point of view.
