Ever since Tony Katz coined the term “racer” to describe those who leap to blame Obama’s failures on rasicm and the like, I’ve had this earworm in my head. I’m happy to pass it on to you, with a hearty “You’re welcome.”

But it needs new lyrics. Here’s a re-write, with apologies to Speed Racer fans everywhere.

He’s a hustler and he’s gonna be smearin’ after someone.

He’s hatin’ on you so you better look alive.
He’s busy revvin’ up a powerful Race Lie!

And when the facts are against him
And there’s racial politics to do
