There is an expression, passed down the generational ladder. One to the next, it flows simply and succinctly, and oft times is more true than not. That expression – The Apple Does Not Fall Far From The Tree.
It has been used numerous times on me, when conversations about my father sprout up. But what happens when the Apple is rotten, it Falls directly on the head of the offspring, rendering him a total fool and the Tree is even a bigger fool than the stated piece of rancid fruit?
Thus brings us Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) and his most recent floor speech, where, while obviously dreaming of unicorns and hand-picked Senate seats, he weaved a fantastical and frightening tale about how the United States Constitution should read:
Statism is a disease…and it can pass from generation to generation. Be warned. Be wary.
