There's a point that I always try to make to friends and relatives who aren't neck-deep in politics when they ask me about something that is dominating a news cycle or two — the "something" being yet another false narrative that the Democrats and their flying monkeys are spreading in the mainstream media.
I explain that the Democrats who are driving the narrative aren't representative of all the Dems in America. It's just that the ones who are tasked with smearing B.S. all over the place have more access to microphones and/or spend a disproportionate amount of time on social media.
They're not smart, influential, or right about anything; they're just louder than everyone else.
The Democrats are still operating from their 2020 COVID Tyrant playbook. There is no 4-D chess going on with this move — they are simply unaware that the entire world has moved on from the things that they were getting away with back then. Even a humiliating election loss to a man they did everything to destroy hasn't gotten the message through to them.
So they protest, shout, and engage in useless grandstanding. The only "policy" options they can offer people are bribes. Having no appeal to young voters, they tried to buy them off with college loan forgiveness. Even after being told that it wasn't legal, they kept trying it. You could practically smell the desperation.
This VIP post is piggybacking on something I wrote in a column earlier today:
While President Donald Trump's lean, mean administration machine goes about doing exactly what he promised on the campaign trail, the Democrats' only response has been a foot-stomping, snot-bubbling toddler rage fest.
Anyone who has ever raised a toddler knows that they eventually scream themselves into exhaustion and stop. At that age, they probably also forget what they were upset about in the first place. I don't think that the Democrats have worn themselves out yet, but they seem to be moving in that direction.
Matt wrote on Tuesday about the Dems' latest hissy fit. As Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency dismantled the terrorist slush fund laughingly named USAID, Democratic leaders did the only thing that they know how to do anymore: gin up a mob.
Just how tired is this shtick? My Twitchy colleague Doug P. wrote about the "protest" being mocked by — I kid you not — a CNN panel. Here's one of the tweets from that post (courtesy of another colleague):
Hahaha

This is amazing pic.twitter.com/RgFpB7Pvl4
Look, trying to use Chuck Schumer energy to fire up a crowd is like trying to use scratch-and-sniff pictures of Maxine Waters to cure erectile dysfunction. Rarely has futility looked this sad. And schadenfreude has never been this entertaining. Remember, this is the cream of the Democratic crop.
It's highly possible that reality will never hit the Dem elites — they're that steeped in delusion. If it does, however, I'd pay well to be there at the moment of realization.
