Can We Start by Deporting Harry and Meghan?

Though I'm glad we as a country broke away from them centuries ago, I've always been a bit fascinated with the British royal family. I grew up in an era when Princes Harry and especially William were splashed across the covers of teen magazines, and like many other young millennial girls, I fantasized about what it might be like to grow up and meet one of them, fall in love, and become a princess.

Of course, William ended up with Kate, Harry turned out to be a buffoon, and I outgrew that idea, but on May 19, 2018, when Prince Harry stood in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle and married a beautiful girl from the United States who was around my age, I'll admit I got up that morning and watched — a little envious, a little proud, and extremely excited to see how the royal family handled an American in their midst.

Boy, was I disappointed. Meghan Markle took the little girl dreams of our entire generation and flushed them right down the toilet...or the loo, depending on which continent from which you dislike her, because this woman has yet to make many friends on either side of the pond.

Instead of taking what looked like a golden opportunity to literally change the world and become the humanitarian she claimed she aspired to be, she disrespected her new in-laws, bitched and moaned about how hard her life was to anyone who would listen, and gave up her identity to participate in what seemed like some kind of manipulative Princess Diana cosplay.

And then, two years into it, she gave up and moved herself back to the United States, bringing Harry with her, and they've yet to contribute anything worthwhile to this country, unless you count photo ops during national tragedies, a sanctimonious podcast filled with fake interviews, and a ridiculous Netflix "documentary" about how much of a victim you are, despite living one of the most privileged lives of anyone in the world. And that's just Meghan.

Harry, who the Washington Examiner called the "woke, spoiled, dumb icon of our age," has done nothing but write a cringe-worthy book that disrespected his family, created a security risk for the entire British military, and shared far too many TMI details, down to his frostbitten penis. Oh yeah, and he arrogantly bemoaned our Constitution, stating that he has an issue with free speech

In the couple's latest attempt to stay relevant, Meghan has apparently given up her Prince Diana wannabe gig and has set her sights on becoming the next...Martha Stewart, I guess? The Netflix trailer for her show "With Love, Meghan" appears to be more about aesthetics than anything authentic. As best I can tell, the dear Duchess dabbles in everything, masters none of it, and does a lot of fake laughing with Mindy Kaling and some other people I've never heard of. It's like some bored rich housewife who believes she's a domestic goddess because she baked a cake once and grew some dahlias in a flower pot for a nauseating, over-filtered Instagram profile that came to life.

Netflix describes the show as

In With Love, Meghan, we join Meghan in the kitchen, garden — and even at the beehive — as she prepares to host friends both old and new. Sharing some of her favorite tips and tricks for cooking, gardening, crafting, and more, Meghan reveals how even the most minute details can help add beauty to our lives and, most importantly, help bring people together. Whether it’s preparing take-home gifts for guests or adding a sprinkle of edible flowers to breakfast, it’s truly the thought that counts.

But I'll admit, I like Meghan McCain's description better. McCain took to social media this week to point out just how tone-deaf this program and almost everything Harry and Meghan do is:

And she's right. For two people who pretend to be so concerned about the world's problems, all they ever seem to do is stroke their own egos and create problems for themselves.

I was driving home from the grocery store yesterday when I heard a radio DJ mention the upcoming Netflix show. She tried to say something nice about it, but in the end she said, "Well, I have to admit, it just doesn't look that great." I just did a quick search to see if anyone is truly excited about the show, and all I could find was this Us Weekly article entitled "Celebs React to Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show: Abigail Spencer, Meghan McCain and More." As best I can tell, McCain is the only person not already in Meghan's inner circle. At least she got some pats on the back from her friends.

Anyway, I know we're all fired up deporting illegal immigrants at the moment, but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if the incoming Donald Trump administration also sent this duo packing. I guess Meghan is technically an American citizen, so that's not legally possible (right? is there a loophole?) but surely we can at least ship her dolt of a husband back to England. Please tell me we can do that.
