Who wouldn’t be when confronted with the pictures of the giant crowds generated by Hezbollah in Lebanon today? Medievalism still has power, obviously. The fight is far from over. But Bush is standing firm on a Syrian pull-out. Let’s hope the Democrats (and our MSM) stand behind him on this, rather than use this complex situation for their political ends. This is a test of their maturity, now that many have admitted that the administration’s democracy program has had some success. Will they be part of the solution or part of the problem?
