Normally, college trustee elections are about as competitive as elections in the Ukraine circa 1958. But the Internet seems to be changing that, as the current competition for places on the board of my alma mater Dartmouth College would indicate. Two interlopers, Todd Zywicki and Peter Robinson, have suddenly appeared on the list from Web-based petitions. No matter that these men are tremendously qualified, some people are apparently worried that democracy… Heaven forbid!…could now be spreading to our colleges and universities.
