… I wonder about the popularity of Bill O’Reilly. Why would he get more viewers than Brit Hume? [You really want to know?-ed. No, I prefer to be willfully ignorant.] In any case, one of the good things about living on the West Coast is that Brit & Co. come on at the rational adult hour of 9PM. We can avoid the bloviator by reading a story to our kids, a far more rewarding undertaking. But for those of you (raising hand here) who enjoy seeing Doghouse O’Reilly (hint: reference to The Big Sleep) taken down a peg or nine, I recommend Cathy Seipp’s latest.
