To hear the establishment media tell it, on Thursday evening Kamala Harris delivered a speech for the ages. In one fell swoop, she expertly excoriated her opponent and established herself as the mature candidate. Harris presented herself, with the media’s eager help, as a thoughtful, intelligent, efficient technician who would put the country back on track after all these years of Trump’s misrule. Just forget about the fact that Old Joe Biden has been president since Jan. 20, 2021, and apparently still is.
Over at Truth Social, however, the man whom leftists love to hate was busy raining on Harris’ parade, pointing out all the terrible aspects of the Biden-Harris record that the Democrat candidate and her media sycophants hope you’ll forget.
Trump noted that Harris “didn’t mention China, she didn’t mention fracking, she didn’t mention Energy, she didn’t mention, meaningfully, Russia and Ukraine, she didn’t mention the big subjects of the day, that are destroying our Country. There are 60 million people in poverty in the U.S., under their watch, and she doesn’t even talk about them!"
In another post, Trump explained why those poverty numbers were, at least in part, Harris’ responsibility. He posted a graphic asserting that “Since Kamala Took Office: Gasoline +51%. Since Kamala Took Office: Groceries +22%.”
Harris said dreamily: “You can always trust me to put country above party and self. To hold sacred America’s fundamental principles, from the rule of law, to free and fair elections, to the peaceful transfer of power.” Trump then pointed out the gaping contradictions between Harris’ rhetoric and what has actually been the policy of the Biden-Harris regime: “She talked about the Rule of Law but, as Border Czar, she allowed 20 Million people into our Country, many of them Criminals, who are MAIMING and KILLING our people!” When Harris referred to “the chaos and calamity when he was in office,” Trump shot back: “The Chaos and Calamity is allowing our Country to be infiltrated by Millions of Criminals!”
Most devastating of all was one question Trump asked that torpedoed all of Harris’ ringing promises about what she would do as president to fix the nation’s problems: “Why didn’t she do something about the things of which she complains?” Shunting Old Joe Biden aside has allowed the Democrats to run as if they were outsiders, running against an incumbent Trump who has made a mess of everything as president.
The mess, however, is of their own making, and they’re the Washington insiders who have held the presidency for twelve of the last sixteen years. Trump was right: for Kamala Harris to pose as the efficient reformer who will now solve all the nation’s problems is to have amnesia about all that the Biden-Harris regime has done to create those problems since Jan. 2021. The establishment media will be doing all it can to ensure that as many Americans as possible forget about the nation’s terrible situation and who is responsible for it; on Thursday night, Trump did all he could to remind them.
Harris lied brazenly, as leftists have done so often over the last three and half years, about the Jan. 6 “insurrection”: Donald Trump tried to throw away your votes. When he failed, he sent an armed mob to the U.S. Capitol, where they assaulted law enforcement officers. When politicians in his own party begged him to call off the mob and send help, he did the opposite — he fanned the flames.” Trump skewered that in a three-word, all-caps post: “PEACEFULLY AND PATRIOTICALLY!”

This was a reminder that in Trump’s actual Jan. 6, 2021 speech, he told protestors: “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” He did not send “an armed mob to the U.S. Capitol,” and it is both defamatory and extraordinarily reckless of Harris to repeat these lies. There has already been one assassination attempt on Trump, and there could easily be another, given the overheated rhetoric of Harris and her henchmen when they’re busy pillorying their Emmanuel Goldstein figure.
Trump’s flurry of Truth Social posts on Thursday night were a reminder that the leftist establishment and the truth parted ways a long, long time ago. Now the Democrats’ entire presidential campaign is based on deflection, deception, half-truths, outright lies, and misleading statements. And despite all of Trump’s efforts to get the truth out, it just might work.
