Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-NY), a former undocumented immigrant, used a very rigid metaphor for the Trump administration’s funding threats to sanctuary cities. He said it’s “like pointing a gun at the head of Americans and playing Russian roulette.” The congressman actually said it’s New York’s sanctuary city practices that have kept another 9/11-style attack from happening. Apparently the White House saying they’ll pull funds from any city that is unwilling to follow federal laws is going to lead to a terrorist attack. Do Democrats even think before they speak?!?
