Joe Biden claims that he has always respected the constitutional process of nominating and consenting to Supreme Court justices. If this is true, this is the only policy area in which he pays attention to our founding documents. But nonetheless he’s asking Democrats to adhere to his theoretical policy and to give Trump’s nominees a chance. He even says they “are required to give the nominee a hearing and a vote.”
