Mike Pence Went to See 'Hamilton' the Musical and Got a Lecture by the Cast

Hearing that Vice President Elect Mike Pence would be attending a performance of ‘Hamilton: An American Musical,’ the show’s creator, Lin Manuel Miranda, wrote a statement for one of the cast members, Brandon Victor Dixon (Aaron Burr), to read at the close of the performance. He said, “We truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us. This is one American story told by a diverse group of men and women of different colors, creeds and orientations.” Our country’s next VP was also booed when he entered the theatre.
