Hot Topic: Will the GOP Be Able to Defund Obamacare?

If the Senate passes the CR without defunding Obamacare, a period of intense negotiations is expected within the House, which will insist that defunding remain in the bill. At stake: a government shutdown on October 1 if no agreement is reached.

Some Republicans believe the effort to defund Obamacare is doomed to failure and that any subsequent government shutdown will be blamed on them. Other GOP members believe that, regardless of the odds, the attempt to defund Obamacare must be made even at the risk of shutting down the government.

You’ve heard from the experts and politicians. Now it’s your turn. Will Republicans be successful in defunding Obamacare? Leave your thoughts in the comments. If you haven’t registered to comment yet, please take a few seconds to do so.
