Petition Calls for Impeachment of President

By now, we get that progressives don’t like President Trump. They dislike him so terribly that they want him removed from office.

Now, billionaire progressives like Tom Steyer are getting serious. They’ve started … a petition:

As we all know, Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution makes it very clear that the president can be removed from office if enough people sign a petition. I mean, no it doesn’t:

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Just “Impeachment” and “Conviction.” “Public petition” isn’t in there.

The truth is that Leftists change their opinions on the law based on whether on not the opinion helps them win. They treat the outcome of elections as sacrosanct, unless they lose, then it’s an absolute travesty and the opposition must be destroyed at once.

So far, for all of Trump’s many sins — most of which involve tweeting — there is zero evidence that he has done anything to warrant him being removed from office, let alone being subjected to a Special Counsel investigation.

So it looks like this Christmas wish from most of the Left won’t come true this year. They will just be getting new socks and a dopey video that makes them feel momentarily better.
