Debbie Wasserman Schultz Pushes False Neo-Nazi Narrative

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Gallego, and Strickland press conference on Trump's dangerous policies

It seems that 2017 is the year of the neo-Nazi bogeyman. Everywhere you turn, the left is crying about the SS hiding behind every bush.

The latest is none other than Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Here, she tries to use her children heading to college as a way to gain sympathy points among women, but she offers little of any substance. Shocking, I know:

This past weekend, my twins were accepted to their top choice for college. Like all of the Jewish mothers before me, I kvelled with pride. We celebrated the good news all weekend, yet slowly but surely my nachas soon turned to tsoris.

My worry wasn’t about making sure they eat well-balanced meals in the college cafeteria, or that they come home for the Jewish holidays. Rather, as the mother of twins heading off to college in the year 2017, I am deeply worried about the anti-Semitism they may encounter.

According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), “A disturbing trend of anti-Semitic and other bias attacks took place in communities across the country following the 2016 presidential race. From Philadelphia to Los Angeles, the use of the swastika, including racist and other anti-Semitic graffiti, vandalism and reports of assaults and harassment proliferated … College campuses, religious facilities and homes were particular targets nationwide.”

The Anti-Defamation League fails to note how many of these “attacks” have actually been found to have been committed by leftist agitators trying to drum up anger towards conservatives. So far, the vast majority of assaults have been found to not have happened, and much of the vandalism has been found to be “false flag” attacks.

Further, as Wasserman Schultz would never admit, it’s her support group of Israel-hating Democrats behind the majority of the real incidents of anti-Semitism. Shockingly, the right’s eternal commitment to the first few lines of the Declaration of Independence kinda weeds out the bigots.

But no, that doesn’t matter, especially to Wasserman Schultz:

Although it may seem counterintuitive, it is particularly important that communities with sizable Jewish populations fight any normalization of anti-Semitism, since we know that states with the highest totals of anti-Semitic incidents were those with large Jewish populations. In 2015, my home state of Florida was near the top of the list, with 91 incidents of anti-Semitism, up from 70 the previous year. The New York Police Department found that hate crimes more than doubled in November 2016 as compared to the same period the year before.

Wow. A whole 91 incidents of anti-Semitism?

Now, don’t get me wrong, no incidents of anti-Semitism are acceptable, but let’s also be realistic. A whole 91 incidents of anti-Semitism in a state with a population of just under 20 million people? That’s one incident per about 220,000 people.

Sounds hardly like an epidemic.

Further, based on what we’re seeing from the news, it’s safe to assume that a number of those “incidents” may actually have been committed by leftists seeking to turn public opinion against their opponents by painting them as evil racists.

In fact, it’s not that hard to picture that the entire “uptick” in these incidents may have been just that.

Now that the left will ever acknowledge that. After all, Wasserman Schultz is a member of the party that has pretty much crapped all over Israel, while still claiming that Trump and his supporters — people who tend to support Israel vehemently — are anti-Semites. Meanwhile, they don’t simply overlook the brazen anti-Semites among their base, they celebrate them. Like Linda Sarsour.

The hysterical thing is her entire thesis rests on the numbers quoted above and Trump’s failure to specifically mention the Jewish people slaughtered by the Nazis on Holocaust Remembrance Day. The administration argued they simply wanted to also acknowledge the other groups killed by the most evil government in modern history (and probably of all time), which is laudable, but they probably could have handled that better.

For someone like Debbie Wasserman Schultz, any opportunity to scare people about her political opponents is worth taking.
