It must be nice to be a liberal. You can make all kinds of politically correct rules for people to follow — don’t use this word, or that word or don’t offend anyone anywhere for who they are.
But because of your purity of heart and just plain goodness, you don’t have to follow them. And if you’re Kamala Harris, you can lie about it and still be forgiven.
At a New Hampshire town Hall on Friday, a Harris supporter said of Donald Trump that he was “mentally retarded.” Now, we all know that’s no way to talk about a president. And it certainly isn’t permitted to talk about a “developmentally challenged” individual that way. (I apologize if I used an incorrect politically correct phrase to describe someone who is mentally retarded. I believe “developmentally challenged” was current as of last week.)
Trump was faced with a similar situation a few weeks ago when, at a rally, people spontaneously began to chant “send them back” in reference to members of “The Squad” that Trump had been criticizing. At the time, the media howled in outrage because Trump didn’t immediately chastise the audience for their insensitivity.
So, of course, Kamala Harris brought down the wrath of God on that audience member for not only disrespecting the president of the United States in that fashion, but also for using an outdated, outmoded, verboten phrase to describe someone who is, well, mentally retarded.
Not exactly.
Audience member: “What are you going to do in the next one year to diminish the mentally retarded actions of this guy?”
Harris: “Well said.” (Giggles.) “Well said. Well, I plan to win this election, I’ll tell you that.”

Note also that the audience laughed and clapped — sort of like the audience laughing and clapping when people chanted “send them back” at the Trump rally. But it’s different because, well, liberals.
So Harris “giggled” and also congratulated the supporter for his smear. (A presidential “giggle”? That would be a first.)
But Harris said she never saw it, she didn’t hear what the supporter said because if she had, she would have “corrected” him.
“When my staff played the video from my town hall yesterday, it was upsetting,” Harristweeted Saturday. “I didn’t hear the words the man used in that moment, but if I had I would’ve stopped and corrected him. I’m sorry. That word and others like it aren’t acceptable. Ever.”
“I heard him talk about the other stuff and then that came later and it was not something that I really heard or processed or I in any way condone. That’s for sure,” Harris told CBS News on Saturday.
So she never heard what the guy said, even though she said “well said”?
Liar. Liar. Pants. On. Fire.
Harris or any other liberal who calls the mentally retarded “mentally retarded” is given a free pass because, well, liberal. It’s an advantage like being born rich, or pretty. There are certain things you just take for granted and one of those is that the rules and regulations that you want everybody to live by are for the little people.
It doesn’t make you a hypocrite. It makes you, well, liberal.
