WASHINGTON — Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, said she is not going to tell Democratic primary voters why they should choose her over former Vice President Joe Biden because voters will be able to “find the contrast” between the two candidates on their own.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), a 2020 Democratic presidential candidate, outlined reasons why voters should support him instead of Biden, the current frontrunner, during a campaign event in Iowa on Sunday. Harris declined to do the same on Tuesday.

“What’s the top reason Democrats should vote for you over Biden?” Harris was asked.

“Democrats are going to make their own decision. I’m not going to tell them what to make in terms of the contrast. They’ll find the contrast,” Harris replied.
