Tulsi Gabbard Defies Democrats on Third-Trimester Abortion

At a certain moment, Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard seems to believe, an unborn baby becomes a human being. That’s why there must be regulations in place to protect the baby in the third trimester.

Tulsi Gabbard has basically declared her run for president all but over. In a recent interview with Dave Rubin, Gabbard told him that although she’s “libertarian” on the issue of abortion, she does believe there have to be some “restrictions.” Asked when, exactly, she answered: “I think the third trimester. Unless a woman’s life or severe health consequences is at risk, then there shouldn’t be an abortion in the third trimester.”

As National Review explains, when Gabbard first became politically active she actually called herself pro-life. However, she later said that being deployed to Iraq changed her opinion on the matter. As a member of Congress, Gabbard has a 100 percent rating from the baby-killers of Planned Parenthood.

You’d think that this would be good enough for the far-left base of the Democratic Party, but no. Nowadays, so-called liberals demand full permission to kill unborn babies whenever and however they want. 39th week? Let’s do it! Booya! Cut the poor little girl in tiny pieces and take her out! After all, she hasn’t breathed on her own yet!

So, it’s actually very courageous of Gabbard to take this position. Earlier, she explained that she disagrees with her fellow Democrats on impeachment. “You know, I think it’s important for us to think about what is in the best interest of the country and the American people, and continuing to pursue impeachment is something that I think will only further to tear our country apart,” she said.

To top it off, she now has the audacity to disagree with them on that other big issue, abortion. That takes guts.

Of course, it also means that she’s done for. She won’t win this thing… but we knew that already. What she can succeed in, however, is showing other Democrats just what it means to possess this little thing called common sense.
