Activist and author Jim Wallis is upset. Like so many other race hustlers, he just can’t get over the fact that Donald Trump won last year’s presidential election. And so he obsesses over the president, blasting him at every possible occasion.
In a recent tweet, Wallis argues that “America First” is more than a political statement — “it is a theologically heretical statement”:
“America First” is not just a political statement — it is a theologically heretical statement. https://t.co/rgAdWGQEg8

That’s hilarious because Wallis is the author of Original Sin: Racism, White Privilege and the Bridge to a New America. In other words, on the cover of his own book, Wallis replaces the actual original sin — Adam and Eve eating from the tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden — with his own political one: racism.
Talk about being a heretic.
It’s one of many examples of leftist hypocrisy — be they religious or not. Democrats are blasting Trump for being a “populist” who caters only to “his base,” but they simultaneously pretend they’re “for the little guy.” Trump’s base is John Doe from middle America. You’d think that Democrats would love him for it, but no, they actually hate him because of it.
And then there are quasi-religious people like Wallis, whose Gospel is the Social Justice Agenda. They replace Adam and Eve’s original sin — disobeying God by eating from the tree of knowledge — with racism and argue that society’s salvation is found in overcoming said racism, not in following Jesus. But, at the same time, they accuse Trump and Christian conservatives of acting “heretically.”
I’d laugh if it wasn’t so incredibly pathetic.
Of course, there’s reason to criticize some of Trump’s most passionate Christian supporters. Robert Jeffress, anyone? But if there is anyone who has no right whatsoever to do so, it’s Wallis (or leftists like him).
