Good Wednesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • I do not have the president’s agenda today. I think the WH is not sending out the daily schedule because of the government shut-down.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas holiday.

Another child has died in the custody of Border Patrol

The left loves, loves this kind of story that we never heard about until Trump became president. Was it because no one ever died in BP custody until Trump? The media wants you to think so. How many children or adults die on the journey to illegally breach the U.S. border? Plenty go missing and there are plenty of bodies found, but that story isn’t as sexy as the story that blames Trump’s Border Patrolers for killing children. This story is all over the place this morning.

An 8-year-old Guatemalan boy died in custody on Christmas Eve.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement that the boy showed “signs of potential illness” and was taken to the hospital for treatment Dec. 24.

He was diagnosed with a cold and fever then released with antibiotics and Ibuprofen, according to the agency.

The child was returned to the hospital with nausea and vomiting and died hours later early Christmas morning, officials said.

The boy entered the U.S. illegally in El Paso, Texas, on December 18 with his parent. He was repeatedly fed and cared for until a border agent noticed he was coughing and had glassy eyes and brought him to the hospital. The child was held until his fever broke and then he was released. But the child appeared sick again and CNN has a timeline that reports that “his father declined further medical assistance as the child had been feeling better” four hours before the child died.

A very sad situation, but not the president’s fault. If this child had gotten sick and died a day earlier before breaching the border, we wouldn’t hear a peep about it.
