Continuing her track record of demonstrating her hatred for the country she supposedly serves, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) is on record blaming the United States for the chaos and suffering in Venezuela. She also insisted that the U.S. is bullying Venezuela’s ex-president Nicolas Maduro.
Her incredibly deluded and possibly traitorous statements were delivered while the congresswoman was speaking to Democracy Now, a far-far-left independent radio station that traffics in undermining the United States of America. The fact that she is willing to align herself with an organization like Democracy Now! speaks volumes. However, so as not to be misunderstood about her feelings for America, Rep. Omar made sure that her words could not be misinterpreted. After being asked to comment on the situation in Venezuela, she bluntly said:
“A lot of the policies that we have put in place has kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela. And we’ve sort of set the stage for where we’re arriving today. This particularly bullying and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change really does not help the people of countries like Venezuela and it certainly does not help and it’s not in the interest of the United States.”
Take special note of her words about bullying in connection with regime change. Not surprisingly, Rep. Omar is siding with an egomaniacal Socialist dictator who delights in having his military tanks run over innocent civilians. She also fails to acknowledge that Juan Guaido is the rightful president of Venezuela and Maduro the interloper refusing to cede power.
She later added the far-left talking points that almost everything bad going on in the world is the fault of the United States and its policies. With the word “impeachment” being bandied around so much in D.C., it may be time for Congress to look into impeaching one of their own — namely Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
