Hillary Clinton Has a Message for Anyone Concerned about Biden's Treatment of Women: 'Get Over It'

In this Sept. 9, 2012 file photo, Vice President Joe Biden talks to customers, including a woman who pulled up her chair in front of the bench Biden was sitting on, during a stop at Cruisers Diner in Seaman, Ohio. Let's be clear: the biker chick in the bandana and leather vest is NOT sitting in Biden's lap. But it sure looks like it. The vice president plunked himself down with some bikers in a diner in Seaman, Ohio, this fall, and leaned in close behind one woman, grabbing on to her shoulders as they posed for photos. That's Joe. (AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster, File)

I have to admit, I don’t understand the rules of this whole #MeToo thing. We’re supposed to believe the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, even though there’s not a shred of evidence to support any of it. But we’re not supposed to believe the allegations against Al Franken, even with photographic evidence to back them up. And we’re especially not supposed to think there’s anything wrong with the way Joe Biden treats women, at least until we’re absolutely sure he’s not getting the Democratic Party’s nomination for president in 2020.

#Biden2020 is still a distinct possibility, so one of his former co-workers is speaking up for him. And his latest defender has plenty of experience running interference for problematic men. She’s a staunch advocate of women… who haven’t run afoul of the Democrats.

Sandra Sobieraj Westfall and Adam Carlson, People:

Sitting down with PEOPLE to talk about her upcoming book with daughter Chelsea Clinton, Hillary Clinton could hardly contain her thoughts on another topic: how former Vice President Joe Biden interacts with women and girls…

“For goodness’ sake, I’m sorry, I have to jump in because I’ve heard a little bit about that,” Clinton told PEOPLE…

“You could take any person who sticks their little head above the parapet and says, ‘I’m going to run for president,’ and find something that … a little annoying habit or other kind of behavior that people are going to pick apart and disagree with…”

“…But this man who’s there in the Oval Office right now poses a clear and present danger to the future of the United States. So get over it,” Clinton said.

You have your instructions, ladies. Would Hillary Clinton steer you wrong about the behavior of a powerful man?

Has a man touched or spoken to you in a way that disturbed you, and you’re thinking about speaking out even though he’s a Democrat?

Are you absolutely, positively, 100% certain that he’s not a Republican?

Then you know what to do: Get over it.

Please note that this is no longer operative if Elizabeth Warren gets the nomination. Then you can say whatever you want about Biden. But until then, he’s the only thing standing in the way of Trump. So take one for the team and shut the hell up. Hillary has spoken.
