A federal appeals court just ruled that President Trump isn’t allowed to block people from viewing his Twitter account, because now that he’s in public office, his social media is a public forum. That seems like a bad idea, just on general principles. People have the right to yell at him, or any other public figure, as much as they want. But why should he, or anybody else, be obliged to listen? If I stand outside your house with a bullhorn, shouldn’t you have the right to close your windows? My right to speak freely doesn’t obligate anybody to listen.
Well, now we’ll find out if the rules will apply to both sides. The Dems got their very own Trump in the person of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and now the people she has blocked on Twitter want justice.
Former Democratic New York Assemblyman Dov Hikind told Fox News Tuesday that he is preparing to sue Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., for blocking users on Twitter based on their personal viewpoints, following a federal appeals court ruling barring President Trump from doing the same…
Fox News is told the lawsuit would likely focus on Ocasio-Cortez’s popular and active @AOC account, which has more than 4.6 million followers.

I’m no lawyer, but fair’s fair. If we’re going to force the president to let us scream at him online all we want, why shouldn’t the same rules apply to every other politician?
Don’t all Americans deserve equal access to epic clapbacks like this?
“Catfight” is the sexist term Republicans use when two adult women happen to disagree with each other.
The reason they find it so novel &exciting is bc the GOP haven’t elected enough women themselves to see that it can, in fact, be a normal occurrence in a functioning democracy. https://t.co/s6eMMmvzrd

Twitter is also how AOC told the world about being attacked by Border Patrol agents:
And to these CBP officers saying they felt “threatened” by me –
They were literally discussing making a GoFundMe for an officer who attacked my on my tour.
They confiscated my phone, and they were all armed. I’m 5’4”.
They’re just upset I exposed their inhumane behavior.

Doesn’t everybody have the right to witness AOC’s version of the truth for themselves? Don’t the rules apply to her as well? Or is she exempt because she’s a Democrat?
