A federal appeals court just ruled that President Trump isn’t allowed to block people from viewing his Twitter account, because now that he’s in public office, his social media is a public forum. That seems like a bad idea, just on general principles. People have the right to yell at him, or any other public figure, as much as they want. But why should he, or anybody else, be obliged to listen? If I stand outside your house with a bullhorn, shouldn’t you have the right to close your windows? My right to speak freely doesn’t obligate anybody to listen.
Well, now we’ll find out if the rules will apply to both sides. The Dems got their very own Trump in the person of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and now the people she has blocked on Twitter want justice.

I’m no lawyer, but fair’s fair. If we’re going to force the president to let us scream at him online all we want, why shouldn’t the same rules apply to every other politician?

Doesn’t everybody have the right to witness AOC’s version of the truth for themselves? Don’t the rules apply to her as well? Or is she exempt because she’s a Democrat?
