Obama's Last State of the Union Speech Promises to Be Insufferable

On Tuesday night, President Barack Obama will deliver his final State of the Union address, and word on the street is that it will be a “non-traditional” affair. What that means, according to CNN,  is “Obama will be talking about himself, not asking Congress for a long list of items he knows he’ll never get.”

“Non-traditional” my eye. It will be like every other SOTU speech he’s given — except that, if the White House’s big build-up is any indication, it will be even more annoying than usual.

What is left to lie about? I guess we’ll find out.

Here’s the GOP’s take on Obama’s last SOTU, which I think hits all the right notes.

The State of the Union address will begin at  9:00 p.m. ET, and will be followed by the Republican response which will be delivered by Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina.
