Carly Fiorina Rips Media for Planned Parenthood Rhetoric : 'This Messenger Won't Be Silenced'

In the wake of the Planned Parenthood shooting in Colorado, there has been an effort to smear Republicans — including presidential candidate Carly Fiorina — because of their criticism of America’s largest abortion provider. Appearing on “The Kelly File” on Fox News Tuesday night, an unapologetic Fiorina said the left wing tends to “demonize the messenger when they cannot take the message.”

I haven’t used hyperbolic rhetoric about Planned Parenthood. I’ve spoken the truth. And I will continue to speak the truth.

Kelly asked Fiorina about comments she made during the second GOP debate which infuriated the left and launched countless bogus “fact checks.” Fiorina had referenced video footage of a baby that survived an abortion who was filmed “on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking.” The image was seen in the seventh video released by the Center for Medical Progress, in which former StemExpress tissue procurement technician Holly O’Donnell described the aftermath of an abortion at a Planned Parenthood facility n Northern California. The footage clearly wasn’t the baby Holly was referencing — it was shown to help viewers understand what a 19-week-old baby looks like.

Fiorina told Kelly that she’s under fire because she’s “Hillary Clinton’s worst nightmare” and “a conservative woman who stands up for life”  who can “effectively combat the left’s narrative of a ‘war on women.'” Pressed by Kelly to explain her comments about the video, Fiorina stuck to her guns:

Megyn, what I said was, there were videotapes where Planned Parenthood individuals — employees — were talking about harvesting baby parts. What I also said was there are images of fetuses that were born alive. Both of those things are demonstrably true. They are taking issue because they do not like the message. And this messenger will not be silenced.
