Trump Talking About 'Getting Rid of the Debt Ceiling Altogether'

In another stunning moment, leaving me again wondering why Trump has an “R” after his name, he told the media that we should be seriously having a discussion about “getting rid of the debt ceiling altogether.” The cornerstone of the Republican Party is limiting federal government involvement in our lives and thus limiting the government’s budget. Tax cuts are designed to suffocate big government’s revenue stream; regulation and entitlement reforms are meant to minimize bureaucrats’ impact on our lives. To say we should get rid of the debt ceiling is to call for unlimited government spending. President Trump seems to have lost his mind while working with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA); either that or he’s become the driver of the swamp gravy train. How ridiculous!
