California First Lady Jennifer Siebel Newsom is making headlines again, this time for comments she made a while back that have resurfaced from an interview where she slammed conservative Christians for "pulling us back as a country" by fighting to prevent human beings from being slaughtered in the womb. How horrible of us for not wanting children to be torn to shreds in the one place they should be the safest.
Abortion is a heinous crime that threatens our very way of life. I've said it a million times: if a nation can't preserve the fundamental God-given right to exist for its most vulnerable citizens, it lacks the capability to defend the rights of citizens already born. That's not the only reason to oppose this barbaric act. From a Catholic perspective, abortion denies a human soul the opportunity to be baptized and participate in the beatific vision.
Even more twisted, abortion is a form of human sacrifice. Parents offer up a life for their own well-being, most often for financial stability. Many women who kill their babies in the womb do so in order to focus on their careers. In other words, they offer up the child on the altar of convenience for the sake of prosperity, just like ancient people used to do with the pagan god Molech. Looks like that particular demon is alive and kicking in America.
Newsom's wife sat down for an interview with Elex Michaelson to chat about her then-new documentary Fair Play, on the topic of men participating in household chores and caring for children. She conducted the interview in 2022.
At the time it aired, most folks overlooked the program, but it has suddenly resurfaced after Newsom slammed the media for not giving the "war on women" sufficient sensitivity and coverage. Critics have also slammed Newsom for getting rich from her feminist nonprofit organizations.
Mrs. Newsom attempted to define "pro-life" separately from the legal protections for preborn children. Both Sacred Scripture and science make it clear that human life begins at the moment of conception. To hand wave all of the data that exists proving that point denies science, as well as faith. The governor's wife profits from the shedding of blood as part of her "feminist" ideology, which she has monetized through her organizations. It doesn't get more twisted than that.
“So many progressives are leaning into redefining what pro-life is really about, and that’s what we’re doing in California,” the state first lady stated in the interview. “You know, pro-life is about prenatal care and universal preschool and universal after-school and universal healthcare and taking care of foster kids and feeding kids universal meals and childcare. Like, that’s pro-life. It’s not about conception.”
While I wouldn't disagree that providing assistance for all of those things fits within the parameters of being pro-life, that certainly isn't all that it is. What does any of that matter if a baby is killed before it's born? First and foremost, being pro-life means opposing abortion. All this talk of prenatal care is pointless otherwise. This is common sense, but liberals don't seem to possess any. Or they do, but murder is good for the bank account so they ignore it.
It also seems that Siebel Newsom hasn't heard of crisis pregnancy centers before. For quite some time now, these organizations and facilities have helped provide mothers-to-be with a variety of different services, including ultrasounds, basic medical care, adoption referrals, parenting classes, and children's supplies. And yet, people like Siebel Newsom often oppose such centers.
“They’re living in this Evangelical, conservative silo that, ultimately, is just pulling us back as a country to a time and a place where we don’t deserve to be and we’re not gonna be,” she added. “Because honestly, young women and fathers of daughters are awake now, and they’re woke, and they’re not going to let us go back.”
The question that needs to be answered is why progressives resent the existence of crisis pregnancy centers so much. It seems they are really fighting for the right to kill children in the womb. Why are these folks so blood thirsty? Given what we've learned about some of the horrific practices of leftists in the Epstein files, I think it's safe to assume that nefarious entities of a spiritual nature are at work behind the curtain.
