At the Grafing train station in Munich, a 27-year-old Muslim shouted “Allahu Akbar” today before stabbing four other passengers. One died from the attack:

You might think it’s pretty clear what happened here: a radical Muslim decided to stage an attack on non-Muslims in Europe. It’s not as if we haven’t seen something like that occur in the last few years, or even in the past few weeks.
Well, you thought wrong — at least according to the German authorities.
They are arguing that the attack was a “mental health” issue, adding that the attacker may have been “politically motivated.” But it definitely had nothing to do with his religious views. Nope. Nothing to see here, move along:
The German authorities say they do not believe the attack was linked to Islamist terrorism and they believe the suspect has mental health problems.
The assailant made “politically motivated comments” as he attacked, Ken Heidenreich, spokesman for the Munich prosecutor’s office in charge of the case, told The Associated Press.
Those “politically motivated comments” were, among other things, “Allahu akbar.”
How can the West ever defeat Radical Islam if it is unwilling to call this hate-filled ideology by its name? These aren’t “lone wolf attacks” carried out by “madmen.” They are terrorist attacks, and the perpetrators aren’t clinically insane, but religious extremists.
Islamic extremists, to be precise.
