Scott Jennings dropped a truth bomb on CNN Thursday night that sent liberal panelists into full meltdown mode. During a heated discussion about the SAVE Act, legislation requiring photo ID and proof of citizenship to vote, Jennings reminded everyone of something Democrats desperately want buried: their own sordid history of election denial.
"A majority of Democrats in this country think the 2016 election was stolen, and I suspect a great many Democrats still think 2004 and 2000 were stolen as well," he said.
He's absolutely right. Lack of confidence in election integrity plagues both parties. Yet only one party is actively opposing efforts to secure our elections.
Let’s not forget that the 2016 election got investigated to death, and investigators found exactly what we knew all along: The allegations that Donald Trump colluded with Russia were a complete hoax. Trump won that election fair and square, yet Democrats have never conceded that basic fact. In fact, in the years since that election, Hillary Clinton has insisted that the election was stolen from her, and most Democrats, to this day, still think it was.
Ironically, those same Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to prevent any serious investigation into the 2020 election. That's why DNI Tulsi Gabbard's investigation into alleged 2020 election fraud in Georgia is causing absolute panic on the left while raising hopes that potential fraud will finally see the light of day. They want us to take it on faith that 2020 was the “safest and most secure election in history.”
The problem is that the evidence demanding investigation keeps piling up.
Just 2 months ago, Fulton County acknowledged that 315,000 ballots from the 2020 election weren’t properly certified.

A mere 11,779 votes determined the winner in Georgia.

Recently, the FBI executed a search warrant at the Fulton County Election Center, seizing the contentious 2020 ballots that had been hidden for six years.

For six years, the public has still not been allowed to inspect 145,000 ballots that six sworn affidavits say were counterfeit.

Six sworn affidavits claimed 145,000 ballots were counterfeit, with witnesses describing "pristine" ballots with unusual paper texture, no folds or creases, perfect black bubbles, and approximately 98% for Joe Biden.

That’s why Democrats are sweating bullets over this investigation. As our fearless editor, Chris Queen, noted last month, if the 2020 election in Georgia really was fair, Fulton County is being really defensive about this investigation. Trump sure didn’t like the investigation of the 2016 investigation, but he didn’t panic about it. He had nothing to hide.
Despite claims to the contrary, the 2020 election was not extensively audited or litigated. In almost no cases were actual ballots examined, and evidence often got locked away. Suspicious? You bet. Fulton County violated rules in 2020 by certifying approximately 315,000 early votes lacking poll workers' signatures.
If our country could spend millions investigating the Russian collusion hoax, we could certainly get to the bottom of what happened in 2020. There are enough legitimate problems that an investigation is perfectly warranted. We all deserve to feel confident in election results, regardless of party. We can fix the weaknesses with the SAVE Act, but that doesn't mean we should forget what happened in the past.
