The Democrats Are Doomed, and They Don’t Even Know It

You almost have to laugh. With Trump back in the White House, the Democrats are still wandering around like political zombies, trying to figure out what went wrong and what to do about it. And guess what? They still don’t get it.

You’d think Democrats might pause and reflect on what exactly went wrong. Instead, they’ve retreated into the same echo chamber that got them into this mess in the first place — armed with PowerPoint decks, identity politics, and a fresh round of delusion. Now, they’re rolling out a grand “plan” to reclaim the White House, crafted by the same strategists who’ve been steering the ship straight into the iceberg. And if you think that means a course correction toward sanity or moderation, buckle up. What they’ve come up with is somehow even more absurd than you’d expect.

A report from the New York Times basically confirms what the rest of us already knew: The Democrats are panicking. Of course, I can’t blame them. Their poll numbers are terrible, and it’s hard to see how they can win again or who will lead their party back into power.

Their big plan to win back the White House is called Project 2029, which is hilarious. But if you get past the name, I’m sure you’re wondering if this plan is full of ways for them to move back to the center to appeal to mainstream voters again.

It's not.

So, how do these geniuses plan to claw their way back? Get this: they want to keep doubling down on everything that just cost them the country. More “equity” nonsense, more government control, more fights over men in girls' bathrooms and sports, drag queen story hours, and “climate justice.” It’s like they learned absolutely nothing from the Trump landslide. Voters rejected their radical playbook, and their solution is more of the same, just better branding.

The surprise success of Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist, in the New York mayoral primary only added fuel to that debate. Did he succeed because of the audacity of his ideas — “freeze the rent,” “free buses” and “free child care” — or because of the clarity and simplicity of those phrases? Was it his relentless focus on affordability? And would it have worked if he weren’t as charismatic and savvy at social media as he proved to be?

Many strategists see the party’s issue as more style than substance, arguing that Democrats need to do a better job at packaging and delivering their plans to voters, rather than crafting new proposals entirely.

“We didn’t lack policies,” said Celinda Lake, a prominent Democratic pollster. “But we lacked a functioning narrative to communicate those policies.”

How many times have we heard this tired excuse? How often can the Democratic consultant class claim the party’s failures are all about “messaging” rather than the actual message? When it comes to messaging, Democrats have every advantage imaginable. The corporate media practically spoon-feed their talking points to the public around the clock. If voters still aren’t buying what they’re selling, maybe the problem isn’t how it’s packaged; it’s what’s inside the box.

That’s why the American people are running — not walking — away from the Democrats. Working class voters, blacks, Hispanics, and even suburban moms are all sick and tired of hearing that America is evil, tradition is “problematic,” and biology is just a suggestion. The Democrats’ “coalition” is unraveling, but they’re too busy patting themselves on the back at Harvard think tanks to see it.

The Democrats are doomed, and they’re the last ones to figure it out. They can hold all the “listening sessions” they want, but as long as they keep ignoring the people and worshipping at the altar of wokeness, they’re on the fast track to political extinction.
