The Democrats' hysteria over Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) isn’t going anywhere. For weeks now, the message from the Democrats has been “Nobody voted for Elon Musk,” as if somehow this is a valid argument for why he can’t cut wasteful spending from our government.
Let’s finally put this stupid argument to rest, shall we?
Sen. Elizabeth Warren is going viral for comments she made earlier this week in response to a question about what message she has for Elon Musk “and his DOGE cabal.”
“I say follow the law and get the hell out of our agencies. Get the hell out of our government. Nobody elected you. You have no legal authority to be there. And no legal authority to do the things you are doing.”
Mockler: If you had to say one thing to Elon Musk and his DOGE cabal, what would it be?

Really, Fauxcahontas? That's the best you've got?
Let's get something straight: Technically, the American people did vote for this. When they elected Donald Trump in 2024, they voted for his vision of streamlining our bloated government bureaucracy. And guess what? Putting Elon Musk in charge of making government more efficient was part of that package deal.
These same Democrats who are clutching their pearls over Musk had zero problems when unelected bureaucrat Dr. Fauci shut down the country in 2020. Back then we were “all in this together.” Funny how that works, isn't it?
Even more to the point, according to my research, there are roughly 2.2 to 3 million federal employees in the U.S. government. I suspect that number is even higher, but I digress. The point is that none of these people was elected by anyone.
The IRS agents who audit you? Not elected.
The FBI agents who can investigate you? Not elected.
The NSA agents who can track almost everything you do? Not elected.
The staffers who ran the country for Joe Biden? Not elected — but that’s a whole other story.

Warren knows this. She's been in Washington long enough to understand that the president, vice president, senators, and representatives are the only elected federal officials we have. They don’t run the government themselves. They rely on a huge network of staffers, federal employees, and entrenched bureaucrats to run the government.
And let’s not pretend that Musk is some rando off the street who hasn’t been vetted, either. Does anyone think that Musk hasn’t already gotten high-level security clearances for his work with NASA, SpaceX, the Department of Defense, and U.S. Space Force? Trust me, he has.
The truth is, the left's opposition to DOGE has nothing to do with democratic principles and everything to do with its terror of losing control. The left is watching its administrative-state empire crumble, and it is panicking. Every attack on Musk's "unelected" status is really just code for "we're losing our grip on power."
