Let's Debunk the Latest Bogus MSM Narrative About Trump, Shall We?

Donald Trump has always been a polarizing figure, with Democrats dedicating nearly all their energy to scandalizing him. Throughout his first term, his approval ratings remained underwater, yet just a month into his second term, he’s defying expectations. Despite relentless media attacks and manufactured controversies, Trump appears to be winning over skeptics. Of course, that’s not the narrative the liberal media wants you to hear.

“Donald Trump’s honeymoon may be wearing off,” warns Politico. “New polls show a majority of Americans say he has overstepped his presidential authority — and hasn’t done enough to address high prices.”

The article cites two new polls from CNN/SSRS and The Washington Post/Ipsos showing Trump’s approval rating underwater — 47-52 in CNN’s poll and 45-53 in the Post’s. This marks a shift from earlier in the year when polling showed voters more evenly split, with some surveys even reporting a positive approval rating.

One reason for the erosion of support: a slight majority of respondents in both surveys said Trump has overstepped his presidential power in his attempts to reshape the federal government driven by tech billionaire Elon Musk. Many of Trump’s most controversial early initiatives, including a sweeping spending freeze, have been blocked in court thus far, but the new administration has still made waves with layoffs of federal workers, cuts to federal contracts and a flood of executive orders.

The article continues with the narrative that Trump is pursuing an unpopular agenda. Whether it’s laying off federal workers, having Musk lead DOGE, tariffs, etc., the message Politico is pushing is that Americans just don’t like what Trump is doing, even though he’s doing literally everything he promised he would during the campaign.

Now, ask yourself the question, why did Politico specifically cite the latest polls from CNN and the Washington Post?

This might clear things up:

To craft the narrative they wanted, the media selectively highlighted certain polls while ignoring others. In reality, most recent surveys show Trump with a positive approval rating. Rasmussen Reports — one of the most accurate pollsters of 2024 — currently places Trump at +5 approval. Meanwhile, his RealClearPolitics average stands at +1.4 points. Politico's report is based on two cherry-picked polls from pollsters who were not among the most accurate of the 2024 presidential election.

The latest Emerson poll has Trump up six points. “A new Emerson College Polling national survey of U.S. voters finds President Trump with a 48% job approval rating and 42% disapproval. Since January, Trump’s approval has decreased by one point and his disapproval has increased by one point,” the college reports.

This is all part of the plan. In recent weeks, we’ve seen a variety of narratives taking shape in liberal media. Everything from alleged tensions between Trump and Musk to “chaos” plaguing the administration to Trump voter regret. It's sad.
