How Desperate Is the Left to Turn a Blind Eye to the Migrant Crisis?

As record numbers of migrants arrive in cities across the nation, the impact on local communities transcends political boundaries. This crisis affects everyone, regardless of political affiliation, and it’s a matter that should unite us in outrage and a demand for meaningful action and accountability. Yet the corrosive influence of partisanship and wokeness seems to be stifling the outrage we should all feel about these events.

A year ago, a Haitian immigrant in Springfield, Ohio, crashed into a school bus, killing an 11-year-old boy named Aiden Clark. It’s a tragic story that should never have happened. Many people acknowledge that the Biden-Harris administration allowed hundreds of thousands of Haitian immigrants into this country. There is no doubt that this boy would be alive today had it not been for Biden-Harris open-border policies.

That’s why it shocked me earlier this week when the father of this boy said he wishes that his son had been killed by an “old white man.”

Nathan Clark’s comments are as harrowing as they are revealing. “Ya know, I wish that my son Aiden Clark was killed by a 60-year-old white man,” Clark said during a city commission meeting. How sick is that?

“I bet you never thought anyone would ever say something so blunt," he continued. "But if that guy killed my 11-year-old son, the incessant group of hate-spewing people would leave us alone.”

“The last thing that we need is to have the worst day of our lives violently and constantly shoved in our faces,” he continued. “But even that's not good enough for them. They take it one step further. They make it seem as though our wonderful Aiden appreciates your hate, that we should follow their hate. And look what you've done to us. We have to get up here and beg them to stop. Using Aiden as a political tool is, to say the least, reprehensible for any political purpose.”

His bitterness is palpable as he ironically proceeds to politicize his son’s death by calling out politicians he doesn't like for using his son's death for "political gain."

“And speaking of morally bankrupt, politicians Bernie Moreno, Chip Roy, JD Vance, and Donald Trump, they have spoken my son's name and used his death for political gain,” he said. “This needs to stop now.”

Imagine having a young child who died because of an illegal immigrant and attacking the politicians who are saying that illegal immigrants shouldn’t have been here in the first place. Imagine wishing that a “60-year-old white man” had killed your son rather than wishing that the illegal immigrant hadn’t entered this country in the first place. Imagine siding against the people who are trying to make sure tragedies like this never happen again to defend those who caused it to happen.

I understand people grieve in their own ways, but I can't help but wonder why this man is more concerned about “hate” against illegal immigrants than making sure such tragedies don’t happen again. Sadly, the answer is political.
