Last month during the Republican National Convention, pressure was mounting on Joe Biden to drop out, and some were even calling on him to announce his departure from the race around the time Trump was delivering his acceptance speech to "steal" Trump's big moment.
It never happened, of course. Biden insisted throughout the week that he wasn't going anywhere. It wasn't until party leaders blackmailed him and threatened him with invoking the 25th Amendment to forcibly remove him that he finally relented.
Had Biden dropped out during the RNC, it most likely would have undercut media coverage of Trump's speech, an epic troll move that never came to be. Sure, Biden dropped out a few days after Trump's speech, which certainly changed the dynamics of the race, but the opportunity to troll Trump on his way out the door didn't happen.

But now Trump has a plan to troll Kamala Harris on her big night. He's going to do a live play-by-play of Kamala's big speech on Truth Social.
"I will be doing a LIVE PLAY BY PLAY on TRUTH Social of Comrade Kamala Harris’ Speech tonight at the Democrat National Convention in Chicago," he said in a post on his social media platform. "We will start at 10 P.M., Eastern, and be covering and commenting on some of the earlier Speeches made, prior to hers. She became the Nominee without receiving one Vote, stealing the Nomination from Crooked Joe Biden who earned it by getting 14 Million Votes."
"I am no fan of Biden, who was the Worst President in the History of the United States and, likewise, she is considered to be the Worst Vice President (and Border “Czar”) in the History of the United States, but Biden got 'shafted,'" Trump continued. "We will expose all of her Radicalism, the horrible job she did at the Border, Crime, and Foreign Relations, and her Weaponization against her Political Opponent, using corrupt Prosecutors and Courts in New York, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. I hope everybody will be following along on TRUTH, tonight!"
This comes on the heels of the Trump campaign's launch of a site detailing Kamala Harris's policy positions since neither she nor her campaign website seems willing to be open with the American people about her agenda.

On top of that, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be addressing the nation on Friday, reportedly to drop out and endorse Donald Trump. Such a move will no doubt impact post-convention coverage and potentially blunt any bounce Kamala might get from her speech Thursday evening. The timing of this announcement is no coincidence.
It's perfect if you think about it. While Kennedy's potential withdrawal won't shake up the race the same way that Biden's exit did, it will nevertheless be a significant story that will compete with if not overshadow post-convention coverage.
Kennedy will be addressing the nation from Arizona, and Trump is expected to be in the state as well. Will a joint rally be on the agenda soon?
