It's Time to Admit What the Border Crisis Is About

We've known for years now that Joe Biden’s border crisis was intentional, but it wasn’t until the White House realized that it was hurting Joe Biden politically that the administration decided to pretend to care about it and attempt to pin the blame on Republicans.

During her recent testimony before the Senate, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo accidentally admitted the real purpose of the border crisis. Technically, it’s illegal for non-citizens to vote, but even if they can’t vote, it doesn’t matter because the huge influx of immigrants still manages to boost the Democrats’ power in Washington, D.C.

Raimondo admitted this during an exchange with Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), who delved into the intricacies of the census. He highlighted how the current methodology of the census incentivizes illegal immigration.

"Illegal aliens today are counted in the U.S. census, is that correct?" Hagerty asked Raimondo.

"Yes, as required by the U.S. Constitution,” she replied.

"This total census population, which includes illegal aliens, is then in turn used for the allocation of congressional districts and electoral votes for each state — is that correct?" Hagerty continued.

"Yes,” Raimondo admitted.

And where are these illegals going? They’re going to sanctuary cities, and when these deep blue bastions of leftism get a surge in population, their power increases during reapportionment in the census. The 2020 census revealed that highly regulated blue states have been losing population in favor of freer red states, and with those population booms comes more power in Congress and more Electoral College votes.

Rep. Yvette Clarke (D-N.Y.) even admitted earlier this year that she needed more illegal immigrants in her district "just for redistricting purposes."

Hagerty, citing Clarke’s comments from January, asked Raimondo if she was correct. That’s when Raimondo realized she’d been set up and tried to avoid answering the question.

"I'm not going to comment on politics,” Raimondo replied.

Raimondo defended the practice of counting all persons for census purposes, claiming that the Constitution mandates it. However, Hagerty countered that including illegal aliens in congressional reapportionment dilutes the voting power of legal citizens and incentivizes further illegal immigration.

Democrats have seen blue states lose power because people are escaping leftist policies for the freedom that comes with living in a red state. The only way to counter that is to bring in illegal immigrants, count them in the census, and give them amnesty at a politically opportune moment. The left needs an invasion of illegal immigrants to hold onto power because Americans are waking up and realizing that they don’t want to live in a left-wing authoritarian regime.
