Joe Biden Only Pretends to Care About Anti-Semitism

The October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel inspired a wave of antisemitism across the United States, particularly on college campuses. In the months since that attack, Jewish students have reported being attacked and generally not feeling safe at their schools. The liberal media tried to cover for this by falsely claiming there was a rise in Islamophobic incidents as well, but there wasn't.

Things have gotten so bad that this week Jewish students were advised to flee Columbia University for their own safety. As antisemitic incidents have been increasing, potentially reaching a fever pitch, the Biden administration has looked the other way, refusing to admit the problem exists.

It wasn't until Sunday that Biden, courtesy of the staffers who actually write his official statements, finally acknowledged the antisemitism that has been brewing on his watch in his statement on the arrival of the Jewish holiday of Passover.

"The ancient story of persecution against Jews in the Haggadah also reminds us that we must speak out against the alarming surge of Antisemitism – in our schools, communities, and online," the statement reads.

Silence is complicity. Even in recent days, we’ve seen harassment and calls for violence against Jews. This blatant Antisemitism is reprehensible and dangerous – and it has absolutely no place on college campuses, or anywhere in our country. My Administration will continue to speak out and aggressively implement the first-ever National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, putting the full force of the federal government behind protecting the Jewish community.

This acknowledgement was buried in the statement, making its appearance in the fifth paragraph out of six total—practically an afterthought, but still way to late for a problem that's been percolating for six months.

If you want to argue that something is better than nothing, I suppose you can, however the blatant disconnect between the statement that Biden didn't personally write (and probably never read) and what he actually says in person couldn't be clearer.

"Do you condemn the antisemitic protests on college campuses?" a reporter asked on Monday.

"I condemn the antisemitic protests," he said. "That’s why I’ve set up a program to deal with that. I also condemn those who don’t understand what’s going on with the Palestinians and their — how they’re being —"

You see what he did there? It's not just the antisemitic protesters that are the problem, it's the pro-Israel side, too. He's trying to have it both ways on this issue because he can't offend the antisemitic wing of his party without endangering his election. He's literally pandering to antisemites for his political gain.

On Passover.

Biden doesn't care about antisemitism as much as he cares about the antisemites he needs to vote for him.
