Joe Biden has absolutely nothing to run on this year. For all of the White House talking points claiming a historic level of accomplishment, his campaign isn't running on his record so much as it is running a fear campaign based on lies — the biggest one being that “democracy is on the line” and the Democrats are the only party defending it, yada, yada, yada.
If that were the case, why are these people so afraid of people voting? In the past year, they've done everything they can to thwart Donald Trump's return to the White House, including weaponizing the legal system by piling on bogus criminal charges against him and trying to get him booted off the ballot.
Desperate times sure do call for desperate measures, but the left's aversion to democracy isn't limited to the efforts to stop Trump. It also plays a key role in protecting Joe Biden.
As you may recall, Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign was rescued by the endorsement of Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), who endorsed him before the primaries when his campaign was in a death spiral after losing New Hampshire. In return for the endorsement, Biden was to push for bumping South Carolina up in the primary calendar, giving more power to the state's "more diverse" electorate at the expense of New Hampshire, which is scandalously too white to have such power in choosing the party's nominee.

Of course, New Hampshire was none too pleased to have its status as the first-in-the-nation primary taken away and told Biden and Clyburn where they could shove South Carolina's primary. So New Hampshire bumped its primary up, and Biden opted not to be on the state's ballot.
This, of course, presented a problem because he has at least one serious challenger, Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.). While Phillips doesn't exactly have a shot at winning the nomination, without Biden's name on the ballot, Phillips could end up as the official winner, which could be extremely embarrassing for Biden.
So an as-of-yet-unknown group decided to conduct fake robocalls using an apparent AI-generated voice mimicking Biden, instructing Democrats not to vote in the primary.
“What a bunch of malarkey,” the robocall says, using Biden's trademark phrase in his voice before instructing the listener to “save your vote for the November election.”
“Voting this Tuesday only enables the Republicans in their quest to elect Donald Trump again,” the voice continues. “Your vote makes a difference in November, not this Tuesday.”
According to the Associated Press, "It’s not known who is behind the calls, though they falsely showed up to recipients as coming from the personal cellphone number of Kathy Sullivan, a former state Democratic Party chair who helps run Granite for America, a super-PAC supporting the Biden write-in campaign."
Local law enforcement has been alerted to the calls.
“This call links back to my personal cell phone number without my permission,” Sullivan said in a statement. “It is outright election interference and clearly an attempt to harass me and other New Hampshire voters who are planning to write in Joe Biden on Tuesday.”
Though it is not known who is behind the calls, it sounds like an effort to depress turnout in the Democratic primary. It doesn't get more anti-democratic than that.
