It's quite exasperating to see the media incessantly harping on the very same talking point when it comes to the corruption investigation and impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden. They stubbornly maintain that there's no evidence linking him to any wrongdoing, despite sworn testimony, bank records, emails, phone calls, videos and photos, text messages, and White House visitor logs saying otherwise. What makes this particularly frustrating is that they they were more than willing to insist that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, even though, in that case, there really wasn’t any evidence.
In fact, when it comes to evidence of Joe Biden’s corruption, they’ve had no qualms about lying. Back in September, a reporter claimed that Americans “can’t see” evidence that merits an impeachment inquiry and questioned what evidence Republicans had to prove they weren’t just out for “political revenge” on behalf of Donald Trump. She was promptly humiliated for her claims. An Associated Press reporter similarly claimed there was “no evidence” to support impeachment, but former House speaker Kevin McCarthy got her to admit there actually was a lot of evidence to support opening the inquiry.
The media also infamously lied when Jonathan Turley testified in September that the evidence uncovered at the time had justified an impeachment inquiry by taking his words out of context to suggest there was no evidence justifying impeachment. When wire transfers totaling $260,000 from communist China in the late summer of 2019 were uncovered by the House Oversight Committee, the media couldn’t have cared less, even though the beneficiary address for the funds was Joe Biden’s Delaware residence and Hunter Biden was not living there at the time of the transfer.
Time and time again, the media has been holding on to the "no evidence” narrative. And they always will. The media denies that Joe Biden leveraged a billion-dollar loan to Ukraine to get rid of the country’s top prosecutor, who was investigating Hunter Biden’s company, Burisma, at the time. We literally have video evidence of Biden bragging about what he did, and we know that Biden was acting against the policy of the Obama administration at the time.
But I’m here to tell you that no amount of evidence will ever get the media to admit that Joe Biden was benefiting from his son Hunter’s shady business dealings. Last month we learned that Joe Biden got a $200,000 check from his brother James, after he obtained $600,000 in loans from Americore, a financially struggling rural hospital operator, “based upon representations that his last name, ‘Biden,’ could ‘open doors’ and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.” How much more proof do you need that Biden was getting money through his brother and son in exchange for his influence? Well, it wasn’t enough for Jessica Tarlov, the lone liberal on Fox News Channel’s “The Five," who insisted that wasn’t a smoking gun.
"Jessica and her ilk for years have said, ‘Well, you don’t have money going directly into Joe Biden’s bank account.’ All right, so now we have a check for $200,000 from one company through the brother to Joe’s bank account,” co-host Jesse Watters began in the segment. “Ok, you still say that that’s not from overseas. That was a loan. Ok, OK. What happens if the next check originates somewhere really bad, Jessica? And I mean really bad? And it goes through Hunter or James, and it goes directly into Joe Biden’s checking account? Is that your smoking gun? Is that your smoking gun, Jessica? Because, as you said, that was a smoking gun if money went from overseas directly into Joe Biden’s bank account. If a check comes out at some point from that avenue, is that a smoking gun?”
She said “no."
And then, of course, this month we did get evidence that Joe Biden got money that originated from China, which, again, went through the Biden family shell companies before going to his brother, who then cut Joe a personal check. Foreign source. Laundered money. A check to Joe Biden. The evidence is there. There was never evidence this damning about Trump... ever. But the media is only concerned about protecting Biden, not reporting the facts.
