Typically, when Chick-fil-A makes headlines it’s because of some left-wing protest of a new store or bigoted leftist politicians blocking the nation’s top-growing fast-food chain from an airport or something like that. For years, conservatives, Christians, and their allies have defied the outrage mob and stood up for a fried chicken sandwich because they stood for religious liberty in a time where conservative and Christian values are constantly under attack.
And just like that, the same people who’ve been defending Chick-fil-A for years turning their backs on them, calling for boycotts and refusing to eat there anymore. “I’ll never eat there again,” I saw a friend say on my Facebook timeline.
I understand the frustration, but is turning your back on Chick-fil-A the best response, or is taking action a better way to handle this?
For those of you who saw Chick-fil-A as more than just a chicken sandwich, before you drop them for good, you need to reach out to them. Forget an angry tweet or Facebook comment, you need to call them and/or write them a letter and tell them how you feel.
You can call them at 1-866-232-2040, Monday through Saturday, 8:00am to midnight ET. You can also write them a letter
Chick-fil-A CARES
P.O. Box 725489

Whatever you do, be courteous and tell them your concerns. Chick-fil-A has survived and grown because of your support, perhaps instead of giving up so quickly, you can show them that they succeeded because of their Christian values, not in spite of them. Before you turn your back on them for good, do what you can to make them see the error of their ways. When you’ve made your call or written your letter, encourage others to do so as well.
And when you speak to them, ask them why they’ve blacklisted the Salvation Army or why they’re suddenly favoring social justice causes that hate them or why they gave money to the bigoted SPLC. Ask them why the executive director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation is a left-winger who supported Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Get answers from them directly, let them know they risk losing you as a customer if they don’t make up for these errors.
If Chick-fil-A is more than just a chicken sandwich to you, you’ll fight for it, not give up.
