How is it that I am more busy during the summer than I am during the school year? I just realized this week that we are over-scheduled and in need of some family time. This past 3-day weekend was a good excuse to spend some much needed time with my little ones and superman hubby. Hope you get some breathing room in your weekend!

Mike Rowe is one of my favorite celebrities, ever since he hosted “Dirty Jobs” back in the day. I’m still watching those re-runs. But, I’ve enjoyed listening to him influence culture from his podcast: The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe. This video podcast was extremely poignant, especially considering all that we are looking forward to in 2016.
The Way I Heard It – Holiday Edition I wrote this last night around 7pm. I'm posting it this morning around 7am. I point this out because optics seem to matter more than ever in this day and age, and I'd hate to confirm the mistaken belief held by some that I drink beer in the morning. Even on a holiday.

These natural bug repellents look so simple and promising for the summer and into the fall. I haven’t sold my soul to essential oils and an all organic lifestyle yet, but if I can save some money and do it myself for less chemicals and cost, I’m in!
These will come in handy this weekend.
