Good Friday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president will receive his daily intelligence briefing.
  • He will then sign a proclamation to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • In the afternoon, the president will have his annual exam.
  • Later the president will leave for Palm Beach, Florida.

Trump sh!thole comments drive media, demagogues further off the rails

We live in a day and age where people are encouraged to “share their truth” unless that truth deviates from the approved “truth menu.” The Washington Post, favored receptacle for Trump-hater leaks, reported that the president asked, “Why do we want all these people from ‘shithole countries’ coming here?” when rejecting a sad-sack immigration deal brought to him by a bipartisan group of senators yesterday.

So who leaked Trump’s statement? No one is asking that question because the feigned outrage is so very useful to the #resistance.

CNN puppets Don Lemon and Anderson Cooper said the president’s comments were racist. Governor of Virginia and Clinton consigliere Terry McAuliffe responded to the remarks and said if Trump got in my space, “you’d have to pick him up off the floor.” (LOL!) Congress reacted to the remarks and Tucker Carlson defended the president.

“The idea that you are not allowed to say that they’re pretty crummy countries, Haiti for example or El Salvador, I’ve been in both of them — that’s why people are leaving them to come here,” Carlson said. “So I don’t understand what the sin is. You’re not allowed to point out that other countries aren’t as good places to live as America?”

That’s right. There are sh!thole countries. If you live in a country with an unstable electrical grid, crumbling infrastructure, or people dying from medieval-era diseases, that’s a sh!thole. I wouldn’t want to live there and that’s why people in those countries want to GET OUT and come to America. The former president of the kleptocratic, corrupt country that looks the other way while its criminals traffic human children, weapons and drugs that kill Americans across our shared border responded to Trump on Twitter: “Your mouth is the foulest shithole in the world,” said Vincente Fox.

Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi had no problem(and got little comparative attention) for ripping on the “five white guys” working on the DACA fix because it’s absolutely fine to pick on the “white guys” but not to call Third World sh!tholes, Third World sh!tholes.

“The ‘five white guys’ I call them, you know,” said batty old Pelosi in a press conference Thursday.”Are they going to open a hamburger stand next or what?”

Part of me wants to explain that Trump’s statement wasn’t racist — he wasn’t referring to the people as “sh!tholes,” he was referring to the conditions of their homelands — but it’s a waste of time. None of this outrage comes from an authentic place. It’s just another attempt to undermine the president. Now, was his remark politic? No, but that’s not really their complaint, is it? Some conservatives also defended Trump against the outrage factory.

RUSSIAN collusion update

Sara Carter has a story about a curious meeting between FBI agent Andrew Weissmann and the Associated Press about Paul Manafort in April of last year before he signed on to the Mueller lynch mob.

Senator Grassley, chairmen of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has pressed Fusion GPS on purported “mischaracterizations” in their testimony. Simpson originally testified that the FBI said the Fusion GPS scandal sheet dossier had been corroborated by a source within the Trump campaign, but then backtracked and said the “source” was just drunk campaign volunteer Papadopoulos jawing to an Australian diplomat in a British bar. Because those two things are totally similar and likely to be confused.

But it turned out that Simpson had “mischaracterized” the FBI’s sourcing. Several news outlets reported that a “source close to Fusion” said that Simpson was referring to an Australian diplomat who had passed along information to the FBI in July 2016 about a barroom conversation he had two months earlier with Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos.

A judge is reviewing whether the memos leaked to the media by former director and master virtue-signaller James Comey can be released to the public. (Didn’t Comey already do that?) WaPo/NYT/CNN “anonymous source” Rep. Adam Schiff (D-umbass) is complaining that the GOP is blocking “dozens” of key witnesses in the witch hunt trial.

Just like I have warned: others agree that Trump should not speak to Mueller.

The House passes 702 re-authorization, ignoring critical reforms to curb deep state panopticon spying on Americans

The weasels in the House also killed the USA Rights amendment that would have limited how the feds can use information obtained on Americans when they are spying on foreigners. The amendment failed by a vote of 183 to 233.

Senator Rand Paul, who is one of a mere handful of elected officials who care about protecting Americans from intrusive Big Brother snoop dragnets, is threatening to filibuster in the Senate. I STAND WITH RAND.

In light of the flagrant abuse suffered by Gen. Mike Flynn, who was punitively identified (unmasked) because he was a Trump administration official, it’s clear the system we have isn’t working. The unmasking was unconstitutional and anyone, regardless of political stripe, should oppose the government’s obvious interest in violating our rights.

Igor Stravinsky, Russian Composer, looks over the score of his own Harmonization of the Star Spangled Banner on Jan. 12, 1944. Stravinsky says he retained familiar melody of the National Anthem but changed the harmony and went back to the music of Puritan times for a choral like treatment. He will lead the Boston Symphony in the new version on January 14 and 15. Location unknown. (AP Photo)
