We’re following an active shooter situation at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington, about 60 miles north of Seattle. Police are saying that earlier this evening a lone suspect entered Macy’s and shot five people. Three are reported dead, with one critically injured and another with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is still at large at this time.

UPDATE 2 (2:00 a.m. ET): Local media are saying that there will be another police press conference within the next half hour. Suspect is still at large.

UPDATE 4 (2:33 a.m. ET): Washington State Patrol confirmed four dead women at the scene. There is an active SWAT situation in downtown Seattle, but the WSP spox wouldn’t say if it is related. There will be a press conference at 8 a.m. local time with more updates.

UPDATE 5 (10:29 a.m. ET): K5 is now reporting that there have been five confirmed fatalities:
Four women were pronounced dead at the mall. One man was taken from the scene by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries. He later died at the hospital according to a Washington State Patrol spokesman.
Law enforcement officials are still looking for a single shooter who remains at large, and K5 reports that they are also seeking additional suspects:
The suspect is a Hispanic man wearing a black shirt. He was last seen walking towards Interstate 5 from the mall, and officials believe he was armed with a rifle.
Francis said authorities believe there was one shooter. State patrol is actively searching the shooter and other suspects.
