Women Who Love Murderers

So Nikolas Cruz, the Florida school shooter, is now besieged with love letters, mainly from teenage girls and women:

PARKLAND (CBSMiami) — Confessed Parkland school gunman Nikolas Cruz is getting stacks of fan mail and love letters along with hundreds of dollars for his commissary account.

Fans span from teenage girls to women and even older men – some sending suggestive pictures tucked inside greeting cards.

Other fans offered friendship and encouragement to the gunman.

There are also Facebook communities where members talk about how they can help Cruz….

In one of the letters, a Texas woman wrote, “I reserve the right to care about you, Nikolas!” That letter was mailed six days after Cruz opened fire in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, killing 17 people on February 14th.

In another letter dated March 15th, a teen wrote to Cruz, “I’m 18-years-old. I’m a senior in high school. When I saw your picture on the television, something attracted me to you.”

Psychologist Dr. Peggy Mustelier has a take on the letter writers and others enthralled with Cruz.

“A very strong conviction of his goodness, innocence,” says Dr. Mustelier. “They would act as if they know him.”

“There are multiple reasons from empathy going to the opposite extreme to people who are disturbed to adolescences,” said Dr. Mustelier. “I know a lot are young girls, perhaps a lot of very active fantasy and they are not capable of recognizing the reality of this.”

Women who love killers is not a new phenomenon; there was a book written by Sheila Isenberg in 1991 called Women Who Love Men Who Kill. This review sums up the book:

“Author Sheila Isenberg provides a fascinating look at women compelled to dance with the masters of death, women so obsessed with convicted murders that they marry them, often giving up everything else in their lives, including their children, to fulfill their deepest fantasies. Isenberg interviewed dozens of these women, some of their men, as well as corrections professionals, psychiatrists, and psychologists. The profile that emerges is of ‘little girls lost,’ women who were damaged by painful childhoods who are living in a fantasy world, in love not with a real man but with an illusion based on denial. Isenberg’s skills in getting those women to reveal themselves, her ability to present them as sympathetic and understandable, and her synthesis of the material they provided make for a engrossing report.” Kirkus Review

Naturally, women must always be seen as sympathetic and understandable, even when they love men like Cruz who kill kids. Why isn’t David Hogg denigrating this female (and some male) group of enablers? If women love men like this, then isn’t it encouraging the next mentally unstable, lonely guy to be celebrated too? But the truth is not the point. The point is to take guns from law-abiding citizens and make everyone a sitting duck for guys like Cruz or others who wish to do them harm. It’s easier to control people who have no way to fight back.

“Vulnerable sick” women who love guys like Cruz are the left’s wet dream because they are easy to control and manipulate; men and women who wish to protect themselves are the left’s biggest nightmare. It’s no wonder they lash out at innocent women like Dana Loesch and overlook women who encourage murderers with love letters and devotion.
