Sun To Help Microsoft Get Search Traffic

Saying that it needs to drive search traffic to Live Search, Microsoft has announced a deal with Sun Microsystems for some marketing assistance. Under the agreement, Sun will promote the IE Toolbar — and buttons connecting to MS content — to US-based web surfers looking to download Java.  Meanwhile, as Redmond well knows, there is a nice little search company in Silicon Valley that is ripe for the picking.  The story just keeps getting stranger.
