"Three strikes" P2P Rule Inches Closer To Law In France

In direct opposition to recent EU statements, France has moved one step closer to adopting a 3 strikes policy against illegal file sharing. The French Senate has overwhealmingly passed a bill that would cut off Internet access to anyone caught a third time, illegally sharing copyright protected files. The French National Assembly votes next and adoption of the new law is expected sometime next year.
