Google Not Required to Reveal Source Code But Must Disclose YouTube Users

In the ongoing Google / Viacom litigation, the court has ruled that Google does not have to reveal the YouTube source code however, it must turn over all YouTube user names, IP addresses and viewing history.  Critics speculate that disclosing this information may be in violation of Federal law and could have a chilling effect on the market, potentially exposing users to civil action. The EFF has already weighed in and appeals are sure to follow.
