All The SCOAMF's Cheerleaders

At the New York Times, the buck never stops. Moe Lane of Red State links to the same Maureen Dowd column we had some fun with in the previous post and writes, “It takes skill to complain about a President’s screw-ups without once actually truly blaming the President making them, but MoDo’s up to the challenge.”

So is another Obama-cheerleader at the New York Times:  “Paul Krugman: ‘It’s Terribly Unfair Obama’s Being Judged on the Failure of the Economy.'”

Why? After all, as Obama himself told NBC at the start of his term, “I will be held accountable. Uh, you know, I’ve got four years…If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.”

Sure all of Obama’s promises have expiration dates — except for the one about skyrocketing energy prices and bankrupting coal companies. Since the New York Times have abrogated their jobs, let’s help Mr. Obama keep this one.

Update: And again: Was this a talking point that Pinch issued to all his writers this weekend? “David Brooks Feels for Obama on PBS: ‘You Have to Feel Sorry for Him.'”

Flashback: “DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz: ‘We Own the Economy.’”

More: In contrast at the Gray Lady, “A Gracious and Civil Prelude to a Hanging.”
