I’d like to believe that it’s all 11-dimensional political chess; but at this point — after the midterm debacle, after the big concession on taxes without even getting a raise in the debt limit — what evidence do we have that Obama knows what he’s doing?

Perhaps the answer comes from Paul’s bete noire herself: “He has been deemed a lame duck president. And he is angry now because he is being treated as such.”
* Incidentally, if clip art can kill, as Krugman professes to believe, imagine what a Timesman in a perpetual state of “suppressed rage” is capable of.
